4 Steps to Support Your Gut

“All disease starts in the gut” - Hippocrates


Our gut is like our second brain with over 95% serotonin (happy hormone) receptors located there. So if you are dealing with depression or anxiety then it’s important to look at your gut health.


Some symptoms your gut is out of balance:

• depression

• weight gain

• allergies

• acne

• mental fog

• inflammatory bowel movements

• bloating

• gas

• abdominal cramping

• heartburn

• fatigue

• constipation

• headaches

• type 1 diabetes


Here are 4 steps to help support your gut:


1️⃣ Ditch the toxins- artificial flavours + sugars, trans fat, preservatives, GMO, MSG, alcohol etc. 🚫


2️⃣ drink water - super important!! moisturizes your skin, moves things along your systems (generally drink half your body weight in ounces) 💦


3️⃣ probiotics- supplement with probiotics. Build that good bacteria in your gut. 💊


4️⃣ eat fermented foods- things like kimchi, sauerkraut, kombucha(low sugar/no sugar), kefir/ coconut kefir/ water kefir 🥤
